Review the details
Read the responsibilities, location, work arrangement and pay. Ask the employer to clarify anything missing before making a commitment.
Never pay for a promised job
Requests to buy gift cards, send cryptocurrency, cash a cheque or transfer money for equipment are warning signs. Pause and verify the request independently.
Share information thoughtfully
Keep banking details, identity documents and passwords out of your résumé and application note. Only provide sensitive information after verifying who is requesting it and why.
