About the role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking *Freight Handler* to join our warehouse and logistics team. The Freight Handler will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, moving, and organizing freight while helping ensure shipments are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and containers
- Sort, stage, and organize incoming and outgoing shipments
- Move freight to designated warehouse or loading areas
- Inspect shipments for visible damage and report any discrepancies
- Verify labels, quantities, and shipping information
- Use pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Secure freight for safe storage and transportation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow company procedures and workplace safety requirements
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
- Work with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving goals
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, freight handling, shipping, or receiving experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to lift and move packages and freight throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Basic ability to read shipping labels and identify freight
- Willingness to follow all safety procedures
Pay: $25.90 - $31.20 per hour
