About the role
We are currently looking for a male HHA/driver for a male client in Hauppauge, NY. The ideal candidates will be patient, friendly, and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include following specific instructions and performing a variety of tasks to support the clients' needs. Must have Alzheimer's/Dementia experience. Must be willing to drive client to doctor's appointment. Only apply if you can work this schedule.
The schedule for these positions is Tuesday & Thursday from 10 AM-2 PM.
*Roles & Responsibilities*
- Prompt/direct with ADLs
- Standby assistance while walking
- Assist client with personal care and hygiene as needed
- Plan and prepare meals
- Transportation to appointments, errands or shopping
- Perform light housekeeping duties that client can’t complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents and changes in client's condition
- Driver's License/car
Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
