High School Women's Basketball Coach

*Job Overview*

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated High School Women’s Basketball Coach to inspire and develop young athletes on and off the court. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a competitive basketball team, foster teamwork, and promote sportsmanship among high school students. *Duties*

• Plan and execute engaging practices focused on basketball skills, team strategies, and physical conditioning
• Lead the team during games, providing tactical guidance and motivating players to perform at their best
• Develop individualized training plans to improve players’ technical skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense
• Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff, and athletic directors regarding team progress and upcoming events
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during practices and games, including first aid readiness and AED operation
• Manage behavior on and off the court through effective behavior management techniques

*Qualifications*

• Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly basketball; experience in soccer coaching or cheerleading is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership in team environments with strong communication skills
• Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or athletic settings
• Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction methods for youth athletes
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and health/safety standards required or obtainable upon hire
• Background in physical education teaching or sports team experience highly preferred
• Skills in behavior management to promote respectful conduct among students
• Additional experience in martial arts such as karate or climbing can be advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
