CDL Driver for Childcare Transportation

We are seeking a part-time CDL Driver to ensure the safe, reliable, and timely transport of children to and from educational and childcare facilities. *Responsibilities*

• Safely operate school buses or vans in accordance with all traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify operational safety.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to traffic changes, emergency situations, or unexpected delays using defensive driving techniques and emergency response procedures.
• Maintain communication with childcare staff and dispatchers to provide updates on arrival times or any issues encountered during transit.

*Requirements*

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport; clean driving record.
• Proven experience driving buses or vans in a school or transit setting.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, transportation safety regulations, and emergency stop procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.

*Recommended*

• Certification in First Aid and CPR.
• Experience working with children or in childcare environments
• Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, safety checks, and documentation; good writing skills for logs and reports.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
